Commander of the Karteria proposed for literary award
The Commander of the Karteria has been accepted for consideration for the Runciman Award in honour to the late Writer and Historian, Sir Steven Runciman. It is an annual award for a work about some aspect of Greece or the world of Hellenism published in English the previous year. The aim is to stimulate interest in Greek history and culture from the earliest times to present and to reward and encourage good and accesssible writing.
The short list is decided by March and the eventual winner announced in June.
